Calculating the shipping fees applicable to the item you are interested in will give you a clear idea of the amount you will have to pay to your seller.
Sellers can currently provide shipping charges based on two very different methods. The first is the one we recommend because it’s automated and lets buyers immediately see the total amount they will have to pay to buy the item. The second method allows sellers to provide their costs in writing. In this case, buyers must carefully read all of the seller’s terms and conditions to get an idea of the total charges they will be asked to pay.
This article will enable you to easily see which method your seller is using for the item you want by viewing the “Terms and conditions of sale”.
This article describes the two following cases:
- Calculating shipping charges using the automated method
- Calculating shipping charges using the non-automated method
To calculate the shipping charges using the automated method
- Go to the page of the item you are interested in
- Click on "Calculate my fees
- Select the delivery method and the payment method from the options available.
- Click on "Calculate"
- The summary will show the total amount of fees to be paid
Sellers can decide to offer free shipping if certain conditions are met (use of a specific payment method, transaction amount, etc.). By default, the system will show the total amount of the charges, including any discounts. It’s important to check which terms and condition(s) must be met to receive the discount. To check the terms and conditions, go to “Sales conditions” on this page.
To calculate the shipping charges for an item using the non-automated method
- Go to the page of the item you are interested in
- Click on the "Sales conditions" tab
- Carefully check the terms and conditions of sale added by the seller.
If the fees aren’t clearly defined, we recommend that you find out more by asking your seller your questions.
