I made a lower bid, what happens next?

The validity period of a lower offer is 3 days. During this time, the seller may take one of the following actions.

1. The seller accepts your offer

If your offer is accepted:

• it disappears from your lower bids 
• the item appears on the "My purchases" page 
• you can complete the purchase as normal.

2. The seller accepts your offer as the starting price of an auction

The seller may accept your offer while launching an auction. In this case:

• your offer becomes the starting price of the auction 
• the auction lasts 3 days 
• your offer disappears from your lower bids  
• the item appears on the "My bids: ongoing" page.

3. The seller makes a counter-offer

If a counter-offer is proposed:

• it appears in "My bids: lower" 
• it is valid for 24 hours 
• you can accept or refuse it by clicking "Respond".

4. The seller refuses your offer

If the offer is refused:

• the status "Refused" is displayed 
• you may click "Place a new bid"
• the new offer must be higher than the refused one.

5. The seller ignores your offer

The seller is not required to reply. In this case:

• the status remains "Pending" for 3 days 
• after 3 days, the offer becomes "Expired".

Your offer may also be automatically cancelled if the sale ends or if another member wins the item.

Expired or cancelled offers disappear from the "My bids: lower" page after 7 days.
