A refund via Delcampe Pay is only possible if you have been paid via this method and within 2 months after receiving the payment. You have the possibility to refund the full amount of the payment received or a lower amount in case of a partial refund.
To make a refund:
- Go to your dashboard showing the latest activity on your account or the payments received: finished page
- Click on “Refund” for the transaction in question.
- A new window will open.
The amount corresponding to the total payment received is displayed. If you want to make a partial refund, change the amount displayed. It should be noted that the minimum amount cannot be less than 10 cents ( in any currency). - Click on
- A confirmation message will appear. Your buyer is refunded the requested amount and your refund appears in the payments sent: finished.
If you refund the totality of the payment, the fees that have been charged for the use of Delcampe Pay will be cancelled, but not in case of a partial refund.
Example 1 (for a total refund):
The buyer paid €1.00 to the seller via Delcampe Pay.
The seller is credited €0.67 (i.e. €1 - €0.33 in fees).
The seller refunds the buyer €1 and the €0.33 in fees are no longer charged to the seller.
Example 2 (for a partial refund):
The buyer paid €1.00 to the seller via Delcampe Pay.
The seller is credited €0.67 (i.e. €1 - €0.33 in fees).
The seller refunds the buyer €0.10. The €0.33 in fees are still charged to the seller.
WARNING: These examples are based on the case of a particular seller living in Belgium whose currency is the euro. Check the application rate for your personal case via our "Rates" page.
Note: If you have to refund your buyer because the transaction couldn't be finalised, you must cancel the sale to recover your Delcampe sales commission.
